What It Is
The Edwin D. Marks Animal Foundation is a non-profit 501(C)3 organization that educates people about Pet Trusts. We teach Pet Owners how a Pet Trust will make sure their pets can be well cared for when they can't provide the care themselves.
What It Does
The Edwin D Marks Animal Foundation teaches people what elements need to be included in a Pet Trust and how to plan and implement the core of the Pet Trust, the Care Plan, to best meet the needs of their own pets.

Edwin and Brenda have always loved animals
Together, Edwin and Brenda had many dogs in their life and loved caring for them and taking them everywhere. Edwin was an avid sailor and enjoyed life on the water with Brenda, dogs, and all.
In tribute to Edwin, Brenda has initiated the Edwin D. Marks Animal Foundation. The Foundation's mission is to educate people on how to provide for and protect the animal's lifestyle after their owner is no longer there.
Brenda's main focus is to ensure that any pet who has been happily living with its owner is not sent to a shelter after that owner has passed. To make sure that happens, having a Pet Trust that avoids many pitfalls of litigation is needed. Edwin D. Marks Animal Foundation raises awareness and educates pet lovers about Pet Trusts. The Foundation offers a variety of resources guiding pet owners on how to create a Pet Trust Care Plan. The plan outlines the pet owner's instructions for taking care of their pets in their absence. It also enables their pets to be re-homed with a Caretaker that has agreed to provide care according to those guidelines.
